Futures diverge into parallel worlds. Each holds onto different ideas of a good life. Who has power in these different modes of coexistence? How is technology shaped by ideology? What does it mean to our relationships with and through our bodies?
Zhōuwéi Network is an ongoing research umbrella aiming to unpack affective undertones in different societies. The upcoming fiction series “Embodied Ambitopias” prototypes visceral windows into three near-future worlds driven by different value paradigms: Dolphin Waves (New York City), a fully-automated play and wellness campus; Dragonfly (Randstad metropolitan area), a posthumanist design-driven state focusing on sustainability and inclusion; and Project Gecko (multiple locations), a network of decentralised liquid democracies founded on inner healing through movement.
The work is supported by the Sussmann Foundation and Stimuleringsfonds’s Digital Culture programme.
